Hey guys! So, you may have seen on Facebook and Instagram, that I got an Instant Pot for Christmas from my "Darling Children"(their descriptionn of themselves...that I agree wholeheartedly with!). They are so darling and the loves of my life and I also love my new Instant Pot! I've been experimenting with it for the last few weeks and now I think I have some things you might like to try. You can see the video "how to" for these wings on my intstagram @my_gypsykitchen...coming soon!
I will be posting Instant Pot Recipes that will be interspersed through my blog. They may be travel inspired, they may be One Pot Meals or they may just be something delicious from the Instant Pot! My brother, Chef Craig, is also working on the Instant Pot One Pot Meals and will be sharing his creations with us. Can't wait for that!
So, first out of the gate are these Siracha Honey Wings that would be great for Superbowl Sunday. I will also be posting a "non-Instant Pot" recipe for another Super Bowl wing, just in case you are one of the 2 people on the planet that don't have an Instant Pot...kidding! (sort of).
These wings go from frozen to tasty in no time! First, mince an onion and 4 cloves of garlic.

Mix together in a small bowl, the Siracha Sauce, honey, apple cider vinegar and coconut aminos (or soy sauce).

Set the Instant Pot to Saute and let it heat up until it reads Hot. Add a tablespoon of olive oil and let heat up for a minute. Stir in the onion and garlic and let them saute two minutes.

Pour in half of the Siracha mixure.

Lay two pounds of frozen wings over the top of the onion, garlic, Siracha mixture.

Pour the remaining Siracha mixture over the wings and close the top. Turn the pot off by pressing the cancel/keep warm button. Make sure the venting dial is set to Sealing.

Press the Manual button and then press the + button and add 20 minutes.

The pot will take some time to come to pressure, maybe 10-15 minutes and then you will see a little steam come out of the vent. After this, the timer will start. After the time elapses, the pressure will begin to release naturally and you will see a new time begin to count up from zero.

Let this timer count to 10 minutes and then push the vent dial to Venting and let the steam out, being careful not to have your hand close to the steam vent.

Using a pot holder to protect you from the heat of the top, turn the top and remove it. The wings should be tender and covered in spicy sauce. If the sauce needs to thicken, take out the wings and keep warm. Reset the pot to Saute to cook down the sauce to your desired consistency.

Instant Pot Siracha Honey Chicken Wings
Yield: 4 Appetizer Servings
Prep time: 10 minutes
Total time: 45 minutes
INGREDIENTS
2 pounds frozen chicken wings
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 minced onion
4 minced garlic cloves
2 teaspoons apple cider vinegar
1/3 cup local honey
2/3 cup Siracha Sauce
2 teaspoons coconut aminos (or soy sauce)
DIRECTIONS
Mince one onion and four cloves garlic. In a small bowl, combine vinegar, Siracha Sauce, honey and coconut aminos (or soy sauce).
Turn on the Instant Pot to Sauté setting. When the pot indicates Hot, pour in one tablespoon olive oil and let heat up for one minute. Add in the onion and garlic and sauté for several minutes until translucent. Pour in half of Siracha mixture and stir. Drop in frozen chicken wings and pour remaining Siracha mixture over wings and stir.
Turn Instant Pot off. Press Manual and add 20 minutes. Make sure the venting indicator is set to Sealing. The pot will take a few moments to come up to pressure and the timer will set.
When the timer is finished. Let the pot release naturally for 10 minutes (in other words, don’t do anything). After 10 minutes, turn the indicator to Venting and let the steam release. Be careful to keep your hand away from the steam that will escape from the vent. If the sauce is a little thin, take out the wings and reset the pot to Saute and let the sauce cook down to the desired consistency.
